Justin Lehr goes the distance; Reds End Streak
So wow, the reds finally ended the eight game losing streak. Who would of guessed that 32 year old Justin Lehr would help the reds end that losing streak? Nobody! Anyways, let's hope this gives this club hope. We all know the reds aren't going to save the season by any means, but they all can be proud players and play hard from now until the end of the season. On the other note, here's some topics from around the internet i've gathered up.

Arroyo to the Yanks? Doesn't seem likely
It has been rumored that the New York Yankees are looking to acquire reds Starting Pitcher Bronson Arroyo. As I've told everyone don't count on it, the Yankees want the reds to take on some of his contract for this and his next year. Which is not likely unless they are wowed by the return they would get. As of right now I wouldn't give anything to get Bronson other than a B Level prospect. Bronson is just an innings eater and nothing special anymore.

Reds Transactions..More on the DL
"Today the Reds placed on the 15-day disabled list OF Chris Dickerson (bruised right rotator cuff) and RHP Micah Owings (tight right shoulder). IF Drew Sutton (#27) and RHP Robert Manuel (#60) were recalled from Class AAA Louisville."
I don't know about the other reds fans, but this has to tick you off just a little bit. The Reds want to win right? There buyers right? Well why are they bringing up Drew Sutton when you have better options in Drew Stubbs and Chris H. So where do we go from here? Really looks like to me the reds have packed it in, and just don't want to say it publicly.

Juan Pierre Coming to the Queen City?
As Per John Fay
"You hear all sorts of rumors as the trade deadline approaches. Here's one I heard today: Arthur Rhodes to the Dodgers for Juan Pierre.
I don't see it happening. Pierre makes $10 million next year and $8.5 million in 2011. His career on-base is .348. He's a slight upgrade over Willy Taveras. But I'd think the Reds would be looking for outfielders with more pop than Pierre."

Reds Rumors Saturday
- Around The Majors wrote about some of the Reds' deadline options, it's a good read.
- One GM says "Cincinnati wants to move a few contracts, like either Bronson Arroyo or Aaron Harang, but we're not interested in giving players or taking on their money. Harang hasn't been the same guy since last May." Harang has a 4.99 ERA since a 63-pitch relief appearance on May 25th of last season.
- As reported by Jon Paul Morosi the Jays and Reds are talking possible Rolen deal. In which the deal would include Edwin Encarnacion.
